Volker supports executives and senior leaders in striking the balance between results orientation, organization and people development, and strategic direction setting. He facilitates leadership retreats, strategic workshops and training for senior and emergent leaders to increase their self-awareness, ability to lead others and affect changes across organizations. In his 1:1 coaching work, he leverages his 15 years of experience with Systemic Coaching and deep understanding of neuroscience, cognitive patterning (NLP) and systemic organizational behavior.
He started his career as a designer, business analyst and project manager for the development of custom software solutions. Volker translated the way people collaborate and organize business processes into mission-critical applications that dramatically improve productivity and set up organizations to scale. He combines his deep understanding of strategic innovation, organizational behavior, and business process improvement. Today, Volker works with managers and senior leaders to create the circumstances in which Agile software development teams can thrive and deliver on the promises of Agile and self-organizing teamwork. He also trains and coaches teams through the transition from traditional project management to “Agile.” Volker has been a lecturer at UC Berkeley Extension in the Agile Management Program for many years.
